About US

Local First, LLC was conceived during a meeting of  local entrepreneurs who run local Internet marketing, Web Design, manufacturing, and  Web Hosting companies. The question was asked "What can we do to further our goals of getting local small businesses the exposure and resources they need to succeed locally despite all of the "noise" that exist in the current business and economic environment"

As small business owners ourselves living and working in Chester and Delaware counties we are not strangers to the everyday stresses of trying to develop and reach new goals while maintaining achieved goals.

We have been supporting small businesses for nearly 20 years and it has become increasingly difficult to do so due to a few factors muddying the waters.

1.) National Brands and their larger than life advertising campaigns.
2.) The economy.
3.) Faux, wannabe, or inexperienced  advertising, marketing, or service providers with good or bad intentions taking advantage of small local businesses by offering services that these businesses actually need, but not offering the understanding, knowledge, experience, or  technologies to deliver results.

With today's economy we felt that we needed to do something now. We have always been small business advocates and have always tried to be helpful to small businesses and our local communities.

As innovators in  local services and marketing we have been pursued by more than a few copycat service providers who have tried to model their services after ours, but all they managed to do was muddy the waters for everyone. They fail to duplicate what we do, and  why we do it. We do it for the small businesses, we want to see them succeed, we want to better our communities, and we want to preserve and protect our local business communities, our ethics, values, and  our local economies.

We needed to separate ourselves from all the "noise" and develop a new business model that would allow us to  focus on helping small local businesses and our local communities in ways that existing models could not or would not. We answered a couple simple questions about ourselves. Who are we? and what do we want to accomplish?

We are local small business owners with the experience, knowledge, and tools to help other local independently owned businesses accomplish great things through ongoing cooperative efforts. And what we want to accomplish is to educate the local public and government about the importance of independently owned local small businesses, level the playing field between national brands and independently owned local business, strengthen our local small  businesses, our communities and our local living economies by shifting a percentage of sales from the national chains back into the communities that we live in to create a stronger local economy that is sustainable.

Our goal is to educate local consumers about the value of independently owned businesses in our communities,  jointly promote shopping at local businesses, and give independent business owners a unified voice in government and media.

Through ongoing cooperative efforts,  cooperative pooling, peer to peer advise, peer to peer support, peer to peer patronship, and local small business advocacy, we can accomplish these goals together and create a local business community where everyone benefits.
